The Creative Coven is an accountability collective designed to bring together writers who want to get more done, feel supported, and stay inspired. This 8-week pilot program is completely free for participants, though spots are limited. As part of the pilot, you’ll also have a say in shaping the program’s future.

In the Creative Coven, you will:

  • Be part of a larger cohort, with a shared space for connection, conversation, and collective motivation. This is where you’ll set goals or intentions, share updates, and engage with the wider group for support and inspiration.

  • Join optional weekly co-writing sessions with structured time to write (prompts included!).

  • Be part of a small accountability group (3-4 people). You’ll decide together how often to exchange work for feedback, and beyond that, your group can engage in whatever ways feel most helpful.

  • Set an intention, goal, or “spell” for your creative work and share weekly updates in the collective space. This is low-stakes and meant to keep momentum.

  • Have the opportunity to create book circles or other additional groups. This is completely optional and won’t be facilitated by Writing Witchery, but virtual space and encouragement will be provided.

This pilot program will be hosted on Slack (free and easy to use). Our kickoff meeting will cover how everything works, and we’ll make sure everyone is comfortable with the tech.

Creative Coven is for writers of all levels, abilities, genres, and locations. We’ll have members working on newsletters for their business, on short and long works-in-progress, folks with MFAs in creative writing, and members who still feel like beginners. Everyone is welcome, and our eclectic backgrounds is what will make this a fantastic space to work in together.

What You’re Committing To

If you join, you agree to:

✅ Be an active participant in your small group, including providing feedback on your group members’ work.

✅ Set a creative goal for the 8-week program.

✅ Share a weekly progress update in the main group space.

✅ Encourage & support fellow members by engaging in weekly progress reports.

✅ Be kind, constructive, and generous in feedback and discussion. We’ll establish shared agreements in the kickoff call.

✅ Provide feedback at the end of the 8 weeks to help shape future iterations of the program.

There are no live events that you’ll have to attend. Weekly writing times are optional, and the kickoff call will be recorded. Everything else will happen asynchronously on Slack.
