We offer proofreading, copyedits, and developmental editing, as well as critiques/feedback and beta reading.

Editing

Proofreading: $14-$16 per 1000 words

Ensures your text is free of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typographical errors. Best for final polishes on well-edited pieces. You’ll receive a marked-up document with track changes on.

Copyediting: $17-$19 per 1000 words

Focuses on readability by improving grammar, style, and consistency while also checking for errors. You’ll receive a marked-up document with track changes on and in-line comments.

Developmental editing: $25-$30 per 1000 words

For edits and feedback on overall structure, content, and flow, providing guidance on organization, clarity, and coherence to strengthen your piece. You’ll receive a marked-up document with track changes on, in-line comments, and a separate letter with feedback.

Feedback

Feedback: $3 per page (10 page minimum)

For constructive critique and suggestions on specific aspects of your work, such as theme, character development, plot, or style. You’ll receive a document with in-line comments and a separate letter with feedback.

Beta reading: $100-$200 (depending on length and complexity)

Offers a reader’s perspective on your manuscript, highlighting strengths and weakness, and providing general impressions and suggestions. You’ll receive a letter with feedback and answers to any questions you submitted beforehand.

Note: While we don’t offer sensitivity/authenticity reading, we will point out areas that may need attention due to potential inaccuracies, stereotyping, bias, outdated language, etc.
