Only recently has perimenopause become part of a larger conversation—yet for many of us, it remains a journey marked by confusion, disruptions, and a struggle to find adequate care and understanding. Between child care, careers, and other life demands, it’s often hard to find time to even acknowledge what we’re going through, let alone make sense of it. It can be a lonely time, but we are not alone.
About this Workshop
This workshop offers a dedicated time and space to be truly seen and accepted, however we show up. Over 90 minutes, we’ll engage in guided writing prompts, reflections, and shared moments of support. Together, we’ll dive into two sets of prompts in each writing session: one for those working toward memoirs or long-form pieces on their perimenopause journey, and another for those who wish to reflect privately and perhaps discover new perspectives on this life stage.
Beyond the physical challenges of perimenopause, we’ll consider the crone archetype, finding strength in our evolving selves, and honoring everything we’ve weathered. This won’t be all rose-colored glasses or forced positivity, as we'll also make space to sit with the difficulties and frustrations that come with changing bodies, moods, and identities.
You’ll leave with new writing, a better understanding of your experience, and the solidarity of others walking a similar path.

NOTE: Writing Our Selves workshops are NOT recorded, as they are meant to be intimate sessions with time to write or share. If you can't make it but you'd like the prompts, feel free to enroll and I'll send the slides after the live call.
This workshop is part of the Writing Our Selves series. Previous and future topics include estrangement, loneliness, and motherhood.
